Rain Rain Go Away!

While i was in school i had aways prayed for rains so that we get a day off from attending school. I had done that in college too, for one full semester hoping for the early morning lab(ya, lab at 7 30 am!) to get cancelled. Not once were my prayers answered. Now am home for my semester vacations with a lot of exciting plans, only for all that to get ruined due to the heavy rains.

IPT got cancelled for 3 days(am not sure if am happy or sad about that though). TV is not working and even after so many phone calls, nobody has come to repair it- rain being the reason again. Not allowed to go to the beach and even the library. So, i have just been stuck at home all day sleeping, teaching my sis, reading boring books and getting super bored. A big thanks to the rain! 

Well, those are just my silly problems. There are more serious issues to worry about, i guess. There is water-logging and atleast knee-deep water in most places affecting transportation by all means and resulting in heavy traffic jam. It took my friend nearly four hours to travel from gopalpuram to adyar which otherwise takes hardly half an hour. Am sure a lot of people woud have had similar experiences. Apparently water has even entered the houses in many areas which include velachery, west mambalam, besant nagar. I wonder if anything is being done about all this by the authorities….. while i hope for a sunny day tomo:)
